Description
GP-1009 is a 100% active polyoxyethylene (EO) modified dimethylpolysiloxane block copolymer. GP-1009 is dispersible in water at 1%, but is not water-soluble. GP-1009 is resistant to breakdown by hydrolysis due to the presence of stable ≡ Si – C ≡ bonds between silicone and polyol block sections.

Applications
GP-1009 is recommended for use as a wetting agent or emulsifier in water-based coatings, inks, polishes and hard surface cleaners. Additionally, GP-1009 may be used as a dispersing agent for the incorporation of clays, pigments and other powders in water.Other applications include the following:
- Leveling and Flow Control Agent
- Thread Lubricant
- Profoaming Additive (Aqueous Systems)

GP-1009 has a very low order of toxicity, but should still be handled with all precautions common to the use of any industrial chemical product. Consult Safety Data Sheet for additional details.
Packaging/Handling/Storage
GP-1009 is supplied in 5-gallon (18 kg.) pails, 55-gallon (209 kg.) drums and 330-gallon (1252 kg.) totes. Moisture Sensitive. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store below 100° F.
