Description
GP-422 is a concentrated mixture of a reactive, further curable silicone resin in an decamethylpentasiloxane (D5) carrier. GP-422 forms a continuous solid resin film, when applied to substrates and allowed to air dry. Curing to a solvent resistant coating takes place over a prolonged time period at room temperature, but may be accelerated by heating at 200° C for one hour. The cured film has excellent water repellency.

Applications
GP-422 is suggested for use as a binder in coatings intended for application to substrates exposed to high temperatures, and as a component of masonry water-repellent formulations. Other applications include the following:
- Paint Additive (Improve Weathering)
- Protective Coating
Processing and Safety Guidelines
GP-422 should be mixed prior to use to insure homogeneity. Refer to Safety Data Sheet for safety requirements. Flammable Liquid. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Use proper precautions when curing by heating to prevent potentially explosive combinations of flammable volatiles and air.
Packaging/Handling/Storage
GP-422 is supplied in 5-gallon (20 kg.) pails, 55-gallon (222 kg.) drums and 330-gallon (1334 kg.) totes. Do not store above 100° F.
